While most action flicks lean heavily on gratuitous and action scenes, The Avengers offered a lot for the ladies. The T&A was still there, but the film seemed to lean more towards gratuitous scenes featuring the men! The action scenes were bookended by drama and emotion. Was this the influence of Joss Whedon or a reflection of changing demographics for superhero movie audiences?
